"The Golden Fish"

ARTERY GALLERY

“…… after meeting with Alexandros in Crete last year, I was amazed at his drive, passion and enthusiasm for his work and his art.
For him creating his sculpture is like breaking down to the bare bones of his inner soul, using his hands to carve into the stone and creating an extension of himself within each individual sculpture.”

Mr. Jason Michaelson
Director of “ARTERY GALLERY”

Mythyical Sculpture! - "The Golden Fish" by Alexandros Arabatzoglou at Artery Gallery
"Alexandros, is giving everything to get into his sculpture, the same amount of hummanity and seriousness, nobility and experience, acceptance of life, distinction and aristocracy. With absolutely no tricks, no effection, no self conciousness, looking straight ahead, no movemant... but more alive than a real person."

"Farao"

"We first came across the Cicada Gallery by pure accident during our holiday to Crete in 2007. Since that time we have become enthralled by the work of Alexandros.

On our original entry into the gallery we were very surprised to find on display such interesting and different works of art. Every piece on show was fascinating in both it's design and interpretation. To say that each exhibit was unique in it's design and formation does not really do justice to the works.

The designs are all extremely different and the workmanship portrays extreme skill. To work with such flair and accuracy in the various stones and metals to produce unique sculptures shows great craftmanship which Alexandros has no doubt inherited from his family.

We were so excited by his work that we immediately purchased a sculpture called "Farao" which as you can imagine has an Egyptian feel to it. Being halfway through our holiday we arranged for the delightful Marilena to deliver the sculpture to our hotel on our last day. It duly was delivered by hand and came beautifully presented together with a card thanking us for our custom".

"The Black Lady"

"On our return to the U.K. we decided to order a further piece for our new house.

This was called the "Black Lady".

We arranged for the work to be completed and delivered to our new house in time for our removal. All of this was arranged between ourselves and Marilena. As we had come to expect, the sculpture was delivered on time and undamaged.

The "Black Lady" now stands proudly on our dining room sideboard.

Throughout all of our dealings with Alexandros and Marilena we have found them to be most courteous, pleasant, enthusiastic and honest.

We therefore have no hesitation in recommending The Cicada Gallery to anyone who appreciates both unique and fine art presented by a most charming and engaging couple".
